Please take a moment (deadline is Tuesday night, April 7) andclick here to authorize me to act as your agent.
I trust everyone is being super vigilant in observing all the recommendations and regulations regarding COVID19. When it comes to protecting lives one cannot be overly cautious. As we all know, preserving human life is the greatest mitzvah of all.

In these unprecedented and challenging times we are all need of Divine blessing and protection.
Citing a prophecy recorded in the book of Daniel (12:1) that speaks of “Those written in the Scroll will be blessed and protected”, in 1981 the Rebbe launched the writing of ‘Unity Torah Scrolls’ in which Jews all over the world are encouraged to participate, bringing blessings to themselves and to all of humanity.
Every individual letter is indispensable to the Torah as a whole. Even the lack of a single letter renders the Torah incomplete and invalid. Our Sages teach that each letter represents one, single Jew. Accordingly, the letters of Torah express the fact that each and every human being is everything to G-d, and each one of us contributes indispensably to the completeness of humanity.
Chabad of Montreal is reaching out to each and every member of our broader community to participate in one of these unique Torah’s by ‘purchasing’ - for any amount you choose - a letter for each member of the family.
We implore the Al-mighty to end this pandemic as quickly as it came, to grant healing to all who are in need and to fulfill His promises and assurance of a world perfected and redeemed with the coming of Moshiach without delay, Amen!
With best wishes for a healthy happy and kosher Pesach,
Rabbi New

I hope my email finds you and yours healthy and safe, and if you or a loved one has been touched by the virus, I extend my heartfelt wishes and blessings that Hashem grant all in need a speedy and complete recovery, amen.
As we did last week, tomorrow, G'w, at 5:00 I will be delivering my pre-Shabbat sermon which you can watch on Zoom or on FaceBook (click link below). Itchy will commence the program with some exciting announcements regarding a number of new MTC on-line initiatives designed to help you through these challenging times.
And, please join me this Saturday night, Motzoei Shabbat, at 8:45pm for a virtual Havdalah service with inspirational songs and stories (click link below).
One of the unprecedented realities of our current situation is that we’re all home with our family on Shabbat!
What a G-d given opportunity for us to connect to, each according to his and her level, the serenity and sanctity and of this special day!
Let’s make the most of it, and draw down the Al-mighty’s blessings for ourselves, all our Jewish brothers and sisters, and for all humankind!
Please click here for inspiration and ‘how-to’ guidance relating to Shabbat.

Please join me Friday, live on-line, at 5:00pm for my (pre) Shabbat Sermon. Click here to join.
Additionally, I invite and encourage each one of you to celebrate Shabbat this week as a community, together in joy, faith and confidence in the blessings that are sure to come!
So, as you pray at home, say your prayers at the following times. This way we will all be connected to each other:
Mincha/Maariv Friday night - 7:00pm.
Shacharit - 10:30am. (Many have the custom on this Shabbat, since it is the Shabbat before Rosh Chodesh, to recite the whole book of Psalms before Shacharit.)
Mincha, 7:00pm.
Maariv, at the conclusion of Shabbat - 7:53pm.
In the spirit of unity and togetherness, let us share and discuss at our Shabbat family meals - Friday night and Shabbat day - the very same ‘Dvar Torah’ and inspirational story. Please click here for this week's Mosaic Express which includes a summary of the Torah portion, Parsha insights and stories. Please print it out before Shabbat.
After Shabbat, everyone, men and women, are invited to join an on-line Farbrengen in honour of Shabbos Mevorchim Nissan; Shabbos Parshas HaChodesh and the Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka’s birthdate anniversary. Saturday night, 9:30 pm. Please click here to enter the ‘Zoom Room.’

May Hashem grant us the fulfillment of His promise of a world healed, perfected and redeemed in an ‘everlasting Shabbat’ with the coming of Moshiach, without delay, Amen!

The greatest light is one that comes as result of transforming darkness itself into light. It is precisely this that we are clearly tasked with and empowered now by Heaven to achieve. Despite our physical isolation, we shall, with Hashem’s help, become closer to each other and closer to Hashem! The computer and smartphone that has, for too many, been a source of disconnect must now become the tool for meaningful connection to each other on a scale and depth we have never experienced before. This, of course, is why G-d granted us the intelligence to make them in the first place!
So, dear friend, the link you see below is a link to a "Zoom Meeting Room" that I have created. .....
Please note, G’w, we will send a separate email tomorrow or Friday regarding how to maintain this sense of community even (and especially) on Shabbos.
With prayerful wishes for the well-being of everyone and that Hashem accept with favour our efforts and transform all darkness into light with the coming of Moshiach without delay, Omein!
Please be advised that in view of the current situation, until further notice, MTC is suspending prayer services and the building will be closed.
We turn to you please consider volunteering to help those in particular need during these unprecedented challenging times:
Together with our partner organization The Family Store (TFS), which provides subsidized food to over 3500 members of our community who are in need, we have identified over 70 elderly men and women, among them survivors and the infirm, that need help in procuring adequate food supplies.
Please consider dedicating two hours a week to:
Contact one of the aforementioned each week to ascertain their particular food requirements.
Prepare their food packages in the sanitized premises of the Family Store.
Deliver the package to their home.
To volunteer, please email Rabby Getzy at getzy@themtc.com.
Dear friends, we hope that we will quickly receive at least 70 responses, so that these 70 individuals will be adequately cared for. Upon the success of this project we would like to expand this service to the wider community.
We pray that, without delay, we merit the fulfillment of the Divine promise "I shall remove all illness from within your midst" in a world perfected and redeemed.
On behalf of our colleagues Rabbi Yossi Kessler and Rabbi Getzy Markowitz of The Family Store/ TFS Young Leadership,
